"It's like a job. You have goals. You see results" -Yuriy, Experience Corps Member

Experience Corps San Francisco Experience Corps Bay Area was established by Aspiranet in 1998. The program offers adults 55 and older the opportunity to develop caring relationships with elementary and middle school students in San Francisco, Oakland, and Marin County during and after school. Members tutor one-on-one or in small groups, provide classroom assistance, and help out in after school programs. They support youth in reading and math, creative arts, and often develop programs for children based on their own unique backgrounds and experiences.

Aspiranet is a statewide organization taking collective action to support communities and families as they love and care for children. This vision is realized through over 35 programs, more than 30 years of experience, and services in six areas of expertise: family services, adoption, foster care, education, afterschool programs and community collaboration.

Experience Corps members from San Francisco recently participated in the Day of Action, a nation-wide celebration of service and community engagement. Click here to see photos and learn more!
