Experience Corps Tempe The Experience Corps program in Tempe is hosted by the City of Tempe Community Services Department, Social Services Division. Adults ages 50+ tutor students in kindergarten through third grade at selected Tempe Elementary and Kyrene Elementary District schools located in Tempe. Tutoring occurs during the school day and at selected after-school sites. Tutors are community members who have expressed an interest and willingness to make a difference in a child's life.

City of Tempe Social Services Division provides comprehensive services to residents and families. The programs offered to Tempe residents are varied and include: counseling, Care 7 crisis response services, youth prevention programs, adult diversion, Kid Zone after school enrichment program, and two comprehensive neighborhood multi-generational centers. The City of Tempe has hosted Experience Corps in Tempe since 2006.
